Tagged

I was tagged by Debra.
(Sorry it took me so long to do this)

Here are the rules:

1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here are my Facts:

  • I have three siblings. None of which I share my biological mom & dad. I have a brother from my mom & step dad. Another brother from my dad & step mom. And a step sister from my step dad's previous marriage. Talk about a crazy family.
  • I have a homemade tattoo. Four 16 year girls left home alone with Indian ink and safety pins is not a good combination. I am the only one of the four of us who did not cover theirs up with a 'real' tattoo. I still plan on getting it removed. (Thankfully it is covered by a bathing suit)
  • At one point in my life I had 9 piercings. 2 in one ear, 4 in the other. My nose, my tongue and my belly button. All I have left is my ears now :)
  • Technically I do not have Bachelor's Degree (however I say that I do). I need to take one Spanish class to get the piece of paper...uggg! I did walk in the commencement ceremony though.
  • I was on the water ski team in college. I competed in slalom and wake-boarding.
  • I won an EMMY award for my work on the TV show Smallville. I was the Assistant Music Editor.
  • When I blink the sides of my nose twitch just a tiny bit. Some people have noticed. Now anyone who reads this will surely notice :)

Ok.. so there are some random and rather strange facts about me :-)

I don't have 7 people to tag. But if anyone feels compelled to share some not so normal facts about themselves I will be excited to read them.

Jenny,
I loved reading this and getting to know you better. You reminded me that we carved in our legs piece signs with safety pins too! It hurt so bad and there was a scar but I think its faded. Thank heavens we did not have ink!

I had no idea you worked on Smallville. I used to watch that show. I figure you don't do it anymore, Smallville that is. I find your job so interesting.

I was tagged for this one too! I need to get moving on it.

I wish you hadn't told the nose twitch thing. Now when I meet you I'm going to be looking. j/k

I dropped out of school 2 classes (2 quarters of French) shy of my Bachelors degree way back when I was working at that Post Production Sound Studio. When Grace was 1 I went back to "finish" my bachelors degree. Because of a change in the curriculum year, it took me two semesters FULL TIME. Talk about a RIP! I ended up taking Ethnicity classes since I couldn't remember anything from my previous French classes.

I really enjoyed reading these......and congrats on your Emmy. Where do you keep yours?

Cool! Your job sounds soooo exciting! And in another realm from my little world.

Where DO you keep the Emmy? And have your girls tried to get it yet? LOL

Safety pins and ink. Sounds like something I would have done! We pirced our nose with pins after frezing it with ice cubes. Then we used straight pins, cut, to keep in our nose. This was WAY before there was body jewelry. Nowadays it is a "fashion" statement. Back then, it was the underground thing, the rebel against society thing to do.

I'd totally stare at your nose, too, now that I know it twitches! LOL! If its any consolation I have one eye that is smaller than the other and when I smile it closes more than the other...so in pictures I usually look like a total dork.

The Emmy 'statue' is kept at my office. I have the paper award here at home. It got it when the girls were 6 months old and I still haven't framed it yet. Not sure why?

I still do work on Smallville BTW :)

One of my closest friends is a Smallville fanatic - she will be most impressed!

Thankfully I never went near safety pins - I did however get my belly button pierced and it grew out and left a horrible scar so no bikini's for me!

That was a great post. It's fun to get to know you a little bit-the interesting stuff that I'd never think to ask. Way cool about the Emmy, too. Congrats!

I love the facts that you shared. We all spend so much time talking out our children that it is hard to get to know each other as people, not mothers.

Congrats on the Emmy... that is so cool.

I come from a weird blended family too. I have a step-brother, a brother and two half-sisters... we all grew up together but we span 13 years so it makes things even weirder.

Great list! My hubby and I both come from very unconventional families too. I totally relate. Too cool about the Emmy. Is it highlighted somewhere in your house? I have a tattoo but never really got into the piercings. Just the ears.

Oh...I just read that the statue is in your office.

I was a piercer too! *wink
My hub watches Smallville religiously and now I can tell him I know someone associated with the show! (well sorta!) Do you ever get the meet the actors? Hello Superman Mchottie! LOL I always love reading about the quirks people have. I would reveal my own but I honestly don't even know what they are- I'll have to ask around!
