There is no mom in this house yet.
But for some reason one of my two year olds, that shall remain nameless (Charlotte)
has started calling me mom.
I am not mom. No matter how loud you yell it.
I am still holding on to mommy or momma if need be.
I am not moving into that phase yet.
My girls are still babies. I still need to be mommy.
So Charlotte I hope you are reading this cuz unless you are referring to me as your mommy I am refusing to answer.

LOL! For some reason, "mom" doesn't bother me.
Oh no! Not time to go to mom yet at all. :)
Amen Mama. Once it goes to just plain mom, things are never the same again. Hang on to mommy for dear life!
Ha ha. I hate being called Mom too! Mommy is so much sweeter.
I know, the girls have called out mom a few times. That makes them sound way too grown up!! Sometimes they even yell "Kim"
Oh, I hear ya! I'm Mama and plan to stay that way for a while!!!
Too cute. I am Mama and plan to stay that way permanently. My mom is mom, and I am just not ready to take the torch completely.
It is so weird, isn't it, when they go from Mommy to Mom?!? Just wait 'til that day when you find yourself referring to your husband as Daddy...and the kids aren't around!!! Super Scary Freudian 'I'll Never Do That' Moment!!!
Loved your comment on Is Eight Enough? So real! It does stir the mama heart, doesn't it?
Blessings!
Yep, I turned into "mom" awhile ago too...they still go back to mama and mommy though! Oh, but the best part is my husband is often "Steve" instead of daddy!
Funny, I've been meaning to post a similar topic! Viv has been doing this for awhile now, and it drives me nuts :) It just doesn't sound right to be called Mom, does it? Especially out of those cute mouths!
That's cute....I don't mind Mom, but I can't stand Mama...esecially when it's whined at me.
I'm ok with mom. But mommy and mama do sound so much better. Maybe it's because of my older kids...
