Funny Ph(F)rases Friday

Funny things the girls have been saying.

Dinner table
Charlotte: Mommy I don't like this.
Me: Have you tried it?
Charlotte: No but I know.
Me: Just take a tiny bite and then you if you don't like it
you don't have to eat it.
Charlotte: Okaaaaaaaay.
Takes the tiniest bite ever.
Charlotte: Ummmm. This is my favorite.
Me: just laughing

Me: You girls need to clean up your mess before you can
move on to another toy.
Charlotte: I don't wanna. It'll take too long.
Me: Yea well you better work fast then.

Flower Girls

It is wedding madness in our house.
The girls and I were in a wedding this past weekend
for my good friend Maryann.
All four of us are in a wedding in 1 week for my brother.
And my cousin is getting married in 3 weeks.
It's crazy.
Don't get me wrong.
I love weddings.
But this is a little much.
Trying to fit in all three weddings, showers, bachelor
and bachelorette parties is proving to be interesting
and a wee bit pricey.
But we are having fun.
The girls are so excited to be flower girls.
They took their job very seriously this weekend.
They asked every morning if that was the day they got to wear
their princess flower girl dresses.
On the actual day I lied and told them no
so they would not be too excited to take a nap.
When they woke up to find out today was the day they were all smiles.

Addison getting all dolled up with the bridal party.
Charlotte beyond excited.
Addison could not wait to get her dressy shoes on.
My sweet flower girls.
Mommy gets in on the action.
The girls.
Cheesy grins just before the big show.
Walking back with Mommy
Family pic
This makes me so happy.
I love this girl.
Charlotte the groove master.

We had a fantastic time.
The girls were so proud and wanted to do it again.
They even got to wear lip gloss which was a highlight.
I teased them that this was their trial run for Uncle Adam's wedding.
If they didn't do well they were going to be stripped of their titles.
Just kidding...kinda.
I mean if they seriously were awful we might have to reconsider. haha
But thankfully they were awesome.
So the countdown begins for wedding number 2.
But first we have the bachelorette party this weekend in Vegas!!

Wordful Wednesday

*Wordful Wednesday is for those of us that like to showcase a photo(s) but that just can't seem keep our mouths shut about it(them).

There is a prompt this week for WW.
Blog about your favorite travel destination.

Since this is my blog but I participate in Angie's WW
I am gonna put my own spin on it.

This was my favorite travel destination of the summer.
We had a ton of great vacations but this was a kidless vacation.
Now I heart my girls beyond anything
but Daddy and I had not been away from them
for more than 2 nights since they were born.
Over three years ago.
This may not seem like much to some but I really love my girls daddy.
I love the alone time we have together.
He is amazing.
We have so much fun together.
We could have gone anywhere and it would have been
my favorite of the summer.
Believe me as much as we had we also had our share
of not so fun moments.
Not between us mind you.
Just your regular vacation disasters.
You know like when your hubby is wakeboardin,
knocks himself out,
has to be pulled up into the boat cuz he lost all muscle control
and inhales water into his lungs
so that his wife has to give him mouth to mouth.
See not so fun times.
But after all was said and done we enjoyed each other,
we enjoyed the sun,
and some great friends.

I love us

He totally rocks!

Funny Ph(F)rases Friday

Lately the girls say the funniest things.
So I am gonna share them with you
I will try and do this every Friday
but I cannot make any promises.
You know life gets in the way sometimes

Charlotte: Mom, I don't wanna be home alone
cuz I wouldn't have anyone to get my juice for me.
Me: Well I am glad that's the only reason.
Addison: Yea, we would get really thirsty.

And a few days ago...
Me: School starts soon. Are you excited?
Addison: (thinking for a minute) I am gonna need a cell phone
in case I have to call you.
Me: (laughing) Well I think the teacher will let you
call mommy if you really need to talk to her.
Addison: You better get me a cell phone just in case she won't.
Sometimes I just need to talk to you.

Wordful Wednesday

*Wordful Wednesday is for those of us that like to showcase a photo(s) but that just can't seem keep our mouths shut about it(them).

has started!!!
It's only 2 days a week for 2 hours a day
but that's about all this mommy can handle.

Just before leaving the house.
The girls and I went out for Bagels at our favorite spot.
Waiting outside the classroom.
This pretty much sums up how the girls were feeling about school.
When I was trying to get the girls (by which I mean Addee) excited
about school I told her there would be lots of new toys and friends there.
She then informed me that she had enough friends already
and did not really need anymore.
The girl definitely knows what she wants or doesn't in this matter.
My sweet big girls.
Daddy gets in on the action too.
Getting started.
Miss Barbara was a hit.
Craft time.
Tony stayed in the classroom and sat in the back
so as not to freak out my separation anxiety ridden child.

When I asked them what they did
they said they learned the alligator song about a silly monkey.
Oh and they made a pizza that you couldn't eat.

All in all it was a good day.
Addee shed a few tears when Tony walked out of the room
for a minute but it will get better, I'm sure.
She will get over the fact she has to have us in the room with her??

Head on over to Angie's for more WW.

Times are a changing around here.
For the first time my girls wanted different breakfasts.
Usually they will say I want pancakes and the other
may say she wants cereal
but before I even open the fridge
they have agreed on the same meal.
This mommy is thankful of that.
But today one decided she wanted toast with jelly
and the other mini eggo's.
And just let me state for the record that if I actually cooked
the said breakfast (which I do...a lot of the time)
they won't have a choice of two things.

In another scenario we have been asking them
what they want to be for Halloween.
Addee wants to be a monkey.
Beanie wants to be a fire breathing dragon.
As much as I want to let them pick out their costumes,
I am pretty sure they will sway when we get to the costume shop and see
ALL the princess gown costumes.

They still require us to dress them the same.
I have to change both girls if one spills on herself.
But I think this too is going to end soon.
My sweet babies are growing up.
They even start pre school tomorrow.
Sniff sniff.

Old Friends

Three old friends from high school got together after 14 years.
Here is picture of our kids.
How cute are they all?It was fun to catch up and see where everyone's lives have taken them.
Hopefully its not another 14 years.

Thanks Jamie, Jenay and Michelle for a fun filled day!
