Valentine's In The Snow

Tony surprised us with a weekend up in Lake Arrowhead for Hearts Day!

He bought sleds so we could take the girls with us.

We stayed at the beautiful Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa.
(Which is surprisingly kid friendly)

We spent the entire first day in the snow sledding and having snowball fights.

We fed the ducks by the lake and enjoyed a delicious dinner.

It was a fantastic weekend filled with family and love.

Wordful Wednesday

For those of us that can't keep our mouths shut we offer WW.

I told Addison to go get dressed to go to the store.
Prior to this she was in panties alone.
She got out her fancy Christmas shoes and her favorite shirt sans pants.
Imagine how many looks we would have gotten had she remained in this outfit while grocery shopping.

Head on over to Angie's circus for more WW.

Wordful Wednesday

WW is for those of us that cannot just post a picture without saying something about it.

This is Charlotte's mad dog face.

I love the many faces of this girl.

Tuesday's Tribute

Tuesday's Tribute

This TT is all about our dog Ashes.
Ashes was or first 'baby'.
And to say that she was spoiled is just a wee bit of an understatement.
She went everywhere we went.
Slept at the foot of our bed...actually on the bed which would sometimes turn into her wriggling her way up between the hubby and I.
She could be found lounging on the couch all day with Animal Planet on in the background if we were out.

THEN...

The girls were born.
Now she wasn't completely exiled
however she did lose her place on the throne.
No more couch time.
And she was found mostly outside during the day or in our bedroom to minimize the dog hair that we never seemed to be bothered by before.
Now we had two little people crawling around eating dog hair covered toys.

BUT NOW...

'Ashy' as the girls call her has somewhat regained her place on the throne.
The girls simply adore her and she feels the same way.
She lets them hang on her, ride on, drag her all over, do her amazing tricks repeatedly with no treat in site as a reward.
She is the best dog.

I think she missed her couch lounging days even if she now has to share it with two toddlers.
We love you 'Ashy'!!

Wordful Wednesday

I don't have many words to describe this picture.

I just think my kids are cute.

I love the cute things they do together.

Another Anniversary

Three years ago today I went inpatient.

I left my room twice in 41 days and only then for Dr's
appointments within the hospital
but the hardest day was my first day home without them.

It was the most terrifying time in my life.

I would do it again in a heart beat.

I have had a knot in my stomach all week just nearing this anniversary.

I thought this year would have gotten easier with all the memories that go along with that pregnancy but they haven't.

I am so thankful for my girls.

I am so thankful.

Happy Anniversary to us!

5 years ago we stood side by side and swore to love, honor and cherish each other.

That has proved to be quite an easy task.

I love being on your team.

You are a wonderful husband.

You are an even more amazing father.

Happy Anniversary to my best friend.

I will leave you with these great memories as we head down to Santa Barbara to celebrate.

Rain

I know a lot of people love rain.

They enjoy the the pitter patter of the rain drops falling on their roofs.
(probably while all snuggled up in their warm houses by their fireplaces)

I on the other hand have never liked the rain.

I don't like driving in it.

I don't like trying to lug around my soaking wet umbrella.

It's never fun to try and step over a puddle only to realize it was deeper than you thought.

I could totally do without the hem of pants getting wet thus ensuing an uncomfortable next few hours while they dry.

I don't like the way it makes my hair CRAZY.

However I will admit that a smile snuck across my face while watching my girls enjoy every thing about the rain.

Wordful Wednesday

Bryce turned two weeks old yesterday.

Since the girls have been sick we had to keep them away till now.

They have seen lots of pictures and been asking to see and hold him.

I think they smiled the whole time he was over visiting.

Getting ready to hold him

He really was in awe of his older cousins. He just stared at them with his big ole adorable eyes.

We just love this little guy.

He is such a special addition to our family.
